Birmingham, UK, 16th October 2024 – Quest is excited to announce that we were a winner in the EIT Food Accelerator Network programme competition! Quest have been awarded 30,000 euros towards a tech validation project.
The funding will be used to accelerate the development of Quest’s edible microcarrier material, NEUTRIX™. In collaboration with Campden BRI, Quest will conduct comprehensive food safety screenings and nutritional composition testing of the material. The outcomes of this work will not only reassure customers that our ingredients meet food-grade standards and offer high nutritional value, thus assisting in product commercialisation, but will also expedite the regulatory approval process for cultivated meat products using Quest ingredients.
Quest Co-founder and CEO, Ivan Wall, said:
“We are delighted to have won this funding from EIT Food Accelator Network to advance our innovative edible scaffolding that enables suspension cell culture. The funds will allow us to complete nutritional profiling and further taste testing”
